He is a doll. A tool to be discarded.

[ She gets in close! He raises his right hand, sharpening it to a point as he tries to stab her in the chest. ]

[briarliar]

[ she tries to catch the hand in both of hers, and if it remains solid enough to try and snap the point in her grip. possibility of getting a sharp object > dodging an attack. and now that they're closer she doesn't have to shout, but there is a lot of force behind her words. ]

He was screaming in pain...

[pyrighteous]

[ Well. She grabs it - and snaps it? IT hurts, but she manages that at least. ]

Does a kettle scream in pain when the water boils?

[ Annnd he lowers the staff to her shoulder, attempting to electrocute her. ]

[briarliar]

[ oh sweet free knife! this is progress. except probably not enough to completely dodge that staff hit. she pivots as much as she can, using the momentum to flip the broken point at Belos's throat. maybe if she gets lucky he will also get electrocuted? (she is never that lucky) ]

[pyrighteous]

[ Enjoy that new shiv! Also that new electricity! She stabs him in the throat ...

But it sinks into the slime that makes him up. He's not HAPPY but he ain't dead either. ]

[briarliar]

[ Yor has been hit by cars and enough poison to kill bears, so at least her constitution is enough to survive a tiny lightning strike. however, the whole Belos being able to absorb her attacks is very discouraging! her hand twitches from the nerves being electrocuted but she tries to follow up with a right cross to his face. ]

Y—y-you're the kettle!

[pyrighteous]

[ you slap his entire face off! It goes into the muck pit with a faint splat? And it dissolves. ]

[briarliar]

Ah?! Did I overdo it?

[ but not actually upset at this turn of events to be honest!! ]

[pyrighteous]

[ Belos drops her for the moment, clawing at his lack of face and letting out a horrible sound. It starts to regenerate ... but the piece that fell in the pit does not. ]

[briarliar]

[ after that momentary pause as she wonders what strength level she was operating at, she gets back into a fighting stance and attempts to wail on the headless Belos with a sequence of punches and kicks that would shove him off balance and push him towards the pit. not entirely clear if there's a plan in it or Yor is just on autopilot for wanting to smash his face in. ]

[pyrighteous]

[ BOTH? Both are good.

He hammers back at her in turn - new limbs sprouting for every one she crushes, all slashing at her face and chest and arms. But he staggers back a pace. And then another. Soon enough he’s teetering on the edge with the pit at his back. ]

[briarliar]

[ she blocks what she can of his hits, but there is a determined fierceness to keep herself between him and whatever aspects of Hunter she can. at this point her forearms have taken most of the damage but still has her whole body Monty Python Black Knight style to work with as she attempts to ram into him Hung Gar style and shove him over the edge with an angry roar. ]

[pyrighteous]

[ She knocks him back! He stumbles - grabs at her - but begins sinking into the pit with an acidic hiss. Already the lower half of him starts to dissolve as the pit devours him. ]

[briarliar]

[ if there's just one slime hand reaching for her she can manage to grab the wrist and wrench it painfully. maybe even use it as leverage to keep shoving Belos down now that he's closer to her height. ]

Please don’t touch me so familiarly, I'm a married woman. And despite being related to Mr. Hunter, you've made it clear there's no familial relationship, so I see no need to embrace you as such.

[pyrighteous]

[ That last wrench unbalances him, sending him down into the ooze. He tries to say something? IT comes out as a gurgle as the muck drags him down.

The clone watches from behind her, horrified. ]

[ she is going to stay upright long enough to make sure he's not coming back up from the muck before taking a step back and sinking to her knees. because ow her everything. but at least Hunter is okay... ]

[briarliar]

[ oh no, he is probably not okay. she just coldblooded merc'd his uncle right in front of him. two of him?! that somehow makes it feel so much worse! ]

[pyrighteous]

[ They're both surprised, but the Guard at least seems impressed? The clone is babbling in terror.

The guard puts his hand on the clone's shoulder. ]

That was ... impressive.

[ twisting to look back at them ]

O-oh no, it really wasn't at all!

[ and it's kind of the truth, because Director would be scolding her for being so sloppy and getting hurt so much by refusing to retreat even a little. ]

It was probably because it's so dark and he was so slimy and...

[briarliar]

[ she gets on one knee to start standing up, but when she sees Hunter looking on in terror at what she'd done, she lets her legs collapse again. that look hits harder than the lightning (which, to be clear, is still very hard hitting and she definitely is also hurting from that) ]

...but...it was necessary.

[pyrighteous]

Y. Yeah. It was. You protected him.

[ he turns back to pit Hunter. ]

She protected you. Don't look at her like that.

[briarliar]

I-i-it's okay, it's...I think it's normal to feel that way.

[ she tries to wipe off some of the muck from her hands but gives up once she realizes it's just blood underneath. ]

You have the right to be angry or upset. I understand that.

I accept it.

[pyrighteous]

[ The clone edges closer, uncertainly. ]

You're hurt.

[briarliar]

[ she loosely folds her hands in her lap, looking up at him in a manner that she hopes conveys she is not like a cornered animal. she isn't still because she's exhausted or injured, she is exerting a lot of effort not to move in case it frightens him. ]

I'll be fine. A lot of it isn't even mine...

[ wait that actually is a terrible way to answer that! ]

A-and I'm sure Mr. Naoya or Mr. Desfourneaux would be willing to help heal me! If they're doing all right...

[pyrighteous]

[ LITTLE BIT YEAH. He makes a face. ]

He ... he keeps some first aid supplies in here too. A few healing potions.
