[OOC] Misc. Spoiler Notes

MISC notes of stuff seen in the series that may be a bit of a pain to reference otherwise:

Grimwalkers are made of the following:

+ Galdorstone (power source/heart)
+ Palistrom wood (keratin/skin)
+ Stonesleeper lungs (lungs/organs - monster seen in the time travel episode)
+ Selkidomus scales (bones probably?)
+ Bone of ORTET - not present in him exactly, but rather the biological sample used to build him from Caleb. "Ortet" is a botanical term referring to the original plant from which its clones are descended.

Hunter has been shown to bleed red in canon, so that part's normal. Dissection would reveal strange looking organs and a blue stone instead of a heart. He may also get incredibly sick when in no-magic areas despite not being able to cast normally.

Grimwalkers all have magenta eyes. The aging process is probably weird?? Hunter states that Belos "found" him and gave him a staff, and that he was afraid before that of being a powerless witch. Based on that, it's likely that he was a backup copy - maybe living somewhere else before the current Golden Guard was killed? It can't have been for too long or in too normal of circumstances, or he'd have a normal upbringing. Probably he was created and grew up in the castle (out of sight of the previous GG), but was only ascended to Golden Guard recently. It's ALSO possible that he's not actually 16 and was aged quickly to be made useful to Belos. (Probably a mix of both.)

Based on King's Tide, Hunter is at LEAST the 50th iteration of the Golden Guard, and possibly up to the 55th? idk, it's hard to tell, and I like round numbers, so we're going with #50.

The various GGs almost certainly lived different spans of time depending on how well they did - Belos implies that ALL of them betrayed him eventually, resulting in murder - so given a time span of 350 years total with GGs at Belos's back, the average amount of time a GG served was seven years. This average gets longer if you assume that some of the 50 were flat failures from his experimentation - the time travel ep has a skeleton with a #4 in front of more grimwalker notes. If you assume that the 20-ish masks in Hollow Mind were the only guards that actually made it to active service, then the average time served per guard is 17.5 years. Either way, Hunter's odds weren't great from the start.

Stuff he can do with his palisman staff:
+ Fly
+ Teleport short distances / blink
+ Lightning bolts
+ Rock manipulation

Hunter seems to be capable of most kinds of basic offensive magic, but probably not anything specialized (illusions, abominations, potions, etc.). His signature moves involve agility and teleportation - which makes sense considering he didn't have magic until Belos gave him a staff.
