The counsellor, yeah. He's... weirdly easy to talk to.

[not that Casey's historically had a hard time opening up to people, but with the sort of things he's dealt with in his life, every little bit helps.]

Huh. I mean - I'm glad? I still don't entirely understand it ...

[ Hunter supports his boyfriend in therapy!! Whatever that actually is!

[Casey's brows lift.]

Why do you think that?

[He can't even recall if they've ever met.]

He - um - I think he makes a face when he sees me? Maybe that's just his face...

I've... never noticed.

[Mr. Clay sure does have a face, and makes faces with it.]

He's usually nice and calm. Maybe it's your imagination? You should try talking to him.

M-maybe when you go visit him next time...?

[Casey considers the logistics briefly, then nods.]

Why not today? After I'm done, I can introduce you two, and you guys can talk.

[ A nervous little nod. ]

Right. Um. When I come to pick you up then?

Yeah!

[Casey's trying not to appear too outwardly enthusiastic about it. Hunter could... probably benefit from counselling, also. But only if he and Mr. Clay don't secretly hate each other or something. He does keep on smiling, though, hoping to reassure. The guy is so nice, and Hunter is amazing. He can't imagine them not getting along.]

And if he's a jerk to you for some reason, Mom's right next door and would totally yell at him.

[ Yeah uh. Hunter is significantly less thrilled? But Casey seems excited so ... he makes himself smile a little. ]

Okay, okay. as long as I've got you and Mom backing me up.

[Mostly excited by the prospect of Hunter getting more help, because he deserves to feel better about, well, everything. But he knows it takes time. He's still only a few months into it, himself.

It's enough to get him settling back down, self-indulgently resting his head on Hunter's chest. Boyfriend pillow, heck yeah.]

We've always got your back. Tomorrow- it's a promise. [He yawns. God he is tired, though...]

[ Hunter leans back, then, drawing Casey with him. Sleep now, therapy later. ]

[Thanks, Hunter. Truly the best BF ever. Casey settles and it only takes like 6 seconds for him to pass the heck out, comfortable and safe.

Contrary to his fears, although he has moments of shifting and unease, he doesn't have a single bad dream all night.]
