[ It bends under even that slight pressure.

Belos's arm ... shifts a bit? There's a flicker of that green monster that ate Orthax as a staff emerges out of nowhere. ]

You're a trespasser here. If you claim to care about the boy, you'll make your observations and then leave.

That is quite the claim to say I made.

He did eat and kill me, you know.

[But he is very interested in this.] It's also difficult for me to leave when I'm not entirely sure how I found myself here in the first place.

What all of this is. How it works, what 'order' you've put together. Am I really physically here in his mind, or is this a projection of my own thoughts somehow?

I'm not skilled in magic or spells, so these sorts of things are a mystery to me.

Fortunately, I'm quite skilled at mind magic, myself, so I've added this portion to keep his monster from overwhelming us.

[ He takes them through a small, hidden door at the back. It appears to be a tunnel through the layer of slime that hides behind the canvas walls? But it gets more solid as it goes along, and the stairs lead down to...
