He - he gets angry. And disappointed? He just wants me to do the right thing, so it hurts him when I don't obey him.

[mountanoffensive]

He's always angry and disappointed. How do you feel?

[pyrighteous]

... Like I should go see him.

[mountanoffensive]

... fine. But I'm coming with you.

[pyrighteous]

I guess I can't stop you.

[ He turns to follow the guard ... and they quickly come to a huge throne room. Belos is masked this time; it's a great gold thing with horns, and robes that cover his hair. There's no hint of his face under all that.

He's sitting in the throne, looking somewhat ill. Just. Wheezing unpleasantly. ]

"Hunter. Come quickly. I need another palisman."

[ He gestures to a box that has a wooden figure in it. A bird? It looks kind of lie Flapjack. ]

[mountanoffensive]

What's he need a palisman for?

[pyrighteous]

He's going to eat it.

[ Hunter moves to take the little wooden bird ... and stares at it in his hands for a moment. ]

[mountanoffensive]

What? Don't give it to him! Who eats birds?

[pyrighteous]

It's not a bird. It's a palisman. They're pests - full of wild magic.

[mountanoffensive]

But what about Flapjack? Isn't he a palisman?

[pyrighteous]

Who's Flapjack?

[mountanoffensive]

... I guess you don't remember that part. He's your palisman. I'm actually talking with him outside.

[pyrighteous]

[ !!! ]

I don't have a palisman! They're evil, and if Belos hears you --

[ the robed figure rises from the throne. ]

"What's that I hear about a palisman?"

[mountanoffensive]

They're not evil. Flapjack is the sweetest bird I've ever met!

[pyrighteous]

[ Belos's masked face turns on Hunter, who pinks. ]

I-I don't know anything about this! I'll bring you the palisman right away...

[ He steps forward with the wooden bird? But stops short again. ]

[mountanoffensive]

Does it really look evil to you? You should talk to him.

[pyrighteous]

Talk to the ...

[ He looks down at the bird? It shifts in his hands to look up at him. Which makes him startle so badly that he drops it.

The masked Belos is suddenly standing up from the throne, radiating malevolence. ]

"Are you trying to hurt me, Hunter? Or just so incompetent that it works out to be the same thing?"

[mountanoffensive]

Well does he?

[pyrighteous]

"Hurt me? Every time."

[mountanoffensive]

I wasn't talking to you!
