Now you're just being melodramatic.

Also trust me, dying sucks, especially when its assholes. At least giant monsters is kind of cool in a morbid sort of way. When its guys like that, you gotta deal with the self righteous smugness and its almost worse then the dying.

None that I've seen so far, that was just an example of comparison. I could forget the anger at the T-rex, but that fucking cultist asshole could go die in ten different fires.

So basically, you're not allowed to die. Whatever you're dealing with right now will be far less traumatic then letting that guy anywhere near you.

[He pokes his shoulder.]

[ He swats at Leo's hand. ]

You don't UNDERSTAND. I've failed too many times! He's literally going to kill me!

Then we stay away from him until he's arrested or killed.

You can't arrest the Emperor. It's ILLEGAL.

And any Emperor who kills a child deserves to be taken down in a revolution or coup.

And he's a grown ass adult with the power to command armies and if he decides a sixteen year old should be executed for not being able to do an adults job perfectly, which adults can't do perfectly, its because he's morally corrupt.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter rubs at his face. ]

Well it doesn't matter if he's corrupt if I'm dead anyway! He's my UNCLE. I just - want to make him proud.

[He knew the Emperor was bad. He figured the uncle wasn't Great, but he hadn't made the connection They Were The Same Person just yet.]

Family who is willing to kill you for any reason isn't someone you can make proud.

They're too vile inside to be proud of anyone in a meaningful way.

[ Hunter winces at that, unable to deny it, and yet. ]

But - I love him. He's still my only family. What other choice do I have?

You leave and find other people who will actually love you.

And I know, that is far easier said then done. Its always so easy to say, but in practice, its one of the hardest things to do. It will hurt. You will doubt yourself. You will be afraid for many reasons.

[He reaches out to put a hand on Hunter's shoulder.]

But there will be other people who will give you the care you deserve, who won't expect anything from you besides being able to be in your life.

[pyrighteous]

[ He allows the touch. ]

I ... I don't know anyone like that.

Sometimes it takes time to find those people, but they are out there.

It sounded like your friends from home were becoming like that, if not already.

And I'm pretty Flapjack is like that, right? [He looks at the bird with a gentler look, before looking to Hunter.]

And I'd like to be your friend too. Even if I'm a weirdo who might be older then he looks or cursed or whatever.
