The guard whirls on Rupert. ]

He could have hurt you too! He DID hurt you!

Ah - it's not that bad, seriously. I'll make sure to take care of it once we get out of here.

[ The guard shivers a little looking at his clone. ]

I don't like looking at other grimwalkers directly.

[ The guard nods once, sharply. ]

The memories are blurry. I - thought they were just weird nightmares from reading scary stories in the library. But that's how all grimwalkers are made, including me.

I can't imagine how hard it must have been. But the person you are, what you think and feel - it doesn't matter any less. You can still make a new life for yourself, built out of things that are true.

[ The guard squeezes his eyes shut. And nods. ]

Yeah. It's okay if it isn't immediate. Something like that... I think most people would need a while to move past it. But - what's most important is that you're happy.

[pyrighteous]

I'm working on happy too. Phoenix has been ... good. For that.
