There are also portal options in my world which should be more viable when it's not a rush job. Draxum has made a dimensional one safely before.

Trustworthy is a strong word.

He would probably be estatic to have the option to be amongst not humans though.

He's not a good man, but he's a predictable man and he's come to like us despite himself.

Yes. Intentions are too interpretative. Motivations are usually fairly straight forward.

So we may be able to swing familial affection.

[ Hunter stares for a moment. Feeling some kinda way about getting casual affection like this. Then, gently, he wraps his arms around Donnie, mindful of that soft shell. ]

I like hugs, anyway.

[Its not always an option for Donnie, but he is Ready For It Today. Casual affection is just part of turtle life.]

[There is also a metal covering over his shell, but honestly, a good policy thanks to Brand New Trauma from canon.]

[But he is getting hugged back.] Hugs do have their pros.

Y-yeah. Lots of them. I mean - I am still figuring how much I like them, but Mouse gives out lots, at least.

I'm glad to have more family.

Family is a good thing to have.

[He is letting this hug linger because usually when people ask for hugs, they're the ones to decide to end it.]

[ Yeah. Hunter clings a bit longer, then slowly disentangles. ]

It's a new feeling for me.

Which does not make it hurt less, but you deserve to hear it.

[He blushes at that and rubs his arm.]

It seems the thing Mikey would say and he's a pretty good guide to follow in attempts to make someone feel better.

It's also true.

[Frankly, he is kind of proud he's doing well, go robust understanding of familial emotions compared to Any Other.]

Mikey's really smart at that kind of thing, then. It definitely helped.
